You have always dreamed of visiting Paris, the city of lights and love. You are so excited when your parents surprise you and your sister with a trip to France for the summer holidays. You pack your bags, grab your passport, and hop on the plane with a smile on your face. The first two days are amazing. You see the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Notre Dame, and other famous landmarks. You take selfies, eat croissants, and enjoy the culture. You and your sister get along well, despite your usual bickering. You even make some new friends at the hostel where you are staying. On the third day, you decide to go out for dinner in the city. You don't know the area well, so you use your phones to find a good restaurant on Google Maps. You follow the directions, walking through the busy streets without paying much attention to your surroundings. You are too busy chatting with your sister and your parents, laughing and joking. You find a place that looks nice and affordable. It has a sign that says "Chez Pierre" and a menu that offers a variety of dishes. You are about to suggest it to your family, when you realize something is wrong. Your sister is not next to you. You look around, but you don't see her anywhere. You panic. You shout her name, hoping she will answer. You look at your parents, and you see the fear in their eyes. They also noticed that she is gone. You try to remember the last time you saw her. Was it at the crosswalk? The souvenir shop? The bakery? You can't recall. You feel a surge of guilt and dread. How could you lose her? How could you be so careless? You wonder if she is lost, or worse, if someone took her. You hope that she is safe, that she will come back, that this is all a nightmare. But it is not. It is real. And it is only the beginning of your worst holiday ever.
